Dear Church Family,

As most of you know Gov. Abbott recently initiated the early phases of opening back up the economy of Texas. Those orders gave both significant leeway for churches to meet and resume ministry and significant warnings and calls for us to exercise wisdom and caution in how we do that. Shortly after those orders were made public the leadership of the church met online to formulate and adopt a plan to resume worship based on the recommendations of the Governor’s Office, the Attorney General, and Medical Professionals. We are now working to implement that plan, but we ask that you be patient as part of that plan is to move forward cautiously.

What Is Happening Now?

  1. I have submitted our plan to Summit Christian Academy for approval. We can’t meet until we have a place to do so!
  2. We are gathering the various supplies necessary to worship safely, like sanitizer, gloves, masks, etc.
  3. We are working through the details of our plans and preparations to implement them well.
  4. We are carefully monitoring the reported statistics for the spread of COVID-19 in the state of Texas and in our local area (Williamson and Travis Counties) to see if opening back up is causing more cases and spread of the virus.
  5. We are observing how the State moves forward with additional phases of the opening. If the State determines things are headed in the wrong direction, they may well begin to step back.
  6. We are continuing to worship online with our livestream services. We continue to offer various online Bible Studies and Community Groups which can be found here.

What Can You Do?

  1. Pray for provision and wisdom as we prepare.
  2. Be patient as we work to make worship as safe as possible for everyone.
  3. Be flexible as things will be a bit different when we return.
  4. Be ready to follow instructions for the safety of everyone.
  5. Be ready to help out, as we will need a few extra hands to get the gym set up and sanitized properly.

In The Mean Time

If you are in need of prayer for any reason. Please submit a prayer request here and we will glad to pray for you.

If you have physical or financial needs, or if you are aware of the specific needs of others, please reach our to our Deacons & Deaconesses with your needs by email or call 512-690-2577 ext. 3. We would be glad to help!

If you are struggling spiritually and emotionally with fears and concerns and would like to speak to a pastor, please contact us here or call the office at 512-690-2577.

But let me also encourage you to continue to reach out to one another and love one another. I have witnessed many of you doing this already, and been the beneficiary of some of it myself. I am grateful for all of you! Press on. Practice small acts of kindness. Be a friend to each other and to your neighbor. Find ways to be in touch through phone or technology. Now more than ever we need to find ways to be the church to each other and to our neighbors around us. Above all, when you struggle and feel helpless in the midst of this crisis, remember the words of Christ to the Apostle Paul, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” – 2 Cor. 12:9

Finally let me encourage you to continue to give to the church. We need your tithes, offerings, and gifts in order to continue to minister to those in need around us in Cedar Park and the NW side of Austin. You can give through our website or by mailing a check to the address in the footer below.

Grace & Peace,
Pastor Greg
