Good Afternoon EPC! I wanted to let you all know about an upcoming youth event that’s just around the corner. Here are the details:

EPC Youth will be taking a trip to the Comal River for a day of tubing on Tuesday, June 30, 2020! All youth please mark this date on your calendar and plan to attend. We will meet in the parking lot at 6:45 AM at Sprouts – 1831 S Lakeline Blvd, Cedar Park, TX 78613 – and leave promptly at 7:00 AM to drive to New Braunfels. We will be renting from Texas Tubes, located at 250 Meusebach St., New Braunfels, TX 78130. Float time is 3 hours. We will plan to arrive at Texas Tubes by 9:00 AM when they open for business, and we will float the river once.

All students on the trip must where the official Emmanuel Presbyterian Church shirt for the duration of the trip for purpose of identification. Bathing suits should be modest. Please wear some type of water shoes if you own them, as we will be walking through parking lots and over rocks in the river. Remember to wear sunscreen!

The cost per tube rental is: $20.

While we are on the river, we can use non-disposable containers for water, and/or food. Please bring a water bottle or water jug. Food is allowed in Tupperware type storage containers. You may bring a personal cooler with you on the river, but it must be no larger than 16 quarts, and you will be responsible for it during the entire trip. We will stop in New Braunfels for lunch along the way home, so please bring $10-15 for food. Feel free to bring a personal snack for the drive down and/or back to Cedar Park if you choose.

For students bringing phones on the trip, we will keep all media devices in vehicles once we arrive at the river. After floating the river, we will be shuttled back to the parking lot where we will meet up before driving back to Cedar Park.

We should be back to Cedar Park around 3:30-4:00 PM, and will meet again in the Sprouts parking lot for any pickups.
