Our second week of class has gone very well. The students are progressing fast and seem to be enjoying their studies. For household chores, they are divided into three groups, which rotate days between cooking, cleaning, and taking a break. Our home doesn’t have much of a kitchen, so they cook outside in a way similar to how we might cook in America while on a camping trip. The food is delicious and they are careful to maintain sanitary conditions, especially with a Westerner with them. Despite their precautions, my stomach has given me a bit of trouble this week, in addition to a rather hoarse voice with seven hours of teaching daily. Both minor ailments seem to be on the mend, and I pray that they will not return.
