As the manager of our organization’s library/bookshop, I have begun accepting invitations to exhibit our books at events in town. The first was a fundraising concert in April, and the second was a youth conference in August. November has already brought two such opportunities: a cultural fair at one university and a presentation by a Christian performing arts group at another.
The routine is getting familiar: recruit volunteers to join me, select books of interest to the audience, print price lists, pack the books into boxes, get change and receipts for making sales, load up the vehicle, head to the site, set up our display, visit with passers-by, and make sales. In addition to the publicity afforded to our literature ministry, I enjoy conversing with my volunteers and participating in the interesting cultural events at which we’re invited to exhibit. Please pray that our books would make an eternal impact on the hearts of those who read them.
