Our large annual pastor’s conference will be held next week, July 16-19. By God’s grace, the many preparatory tasks on my to-do list are proceeding well. My workdays are busy, but I’m able to leave the office on time each day, with the most urgent jobs done. I thank the Lord for the health and stamina I’m currently enjoying, and appreciate your continued prayers in this regard.

One specific way I’m preparing for the conference is the culmination of a year of effort. At this time last year, I presented to our church’s leadership an outline of lessons to teach to our women. I not only presented this material in monthly meetings over the past year, but also wrote it out in what has become a 106-page booklet entitled “Our Good Works: The Vital Role of Women in the Church”. After much revision, editing, and refining of layout, with liberal help from skilled volunteers, the booklet is currently being printed, and, Lord willing, will be available for sale during the conference. Please pray that it will be a blessing to many.
