I was privileged to spend Sunday visiting an island with two other single ladies who have devoted their lives to our Lord’s service. For the past seven years, Liz and Petra have ministered in the capital city hundreds of miles away, and now they are preparing to return to their home countries in Europe. This week, they’re in our town with their national colleague Abel, training a local young man, Isaac, to distribute their literature here.
Abel wanted to gift Liz and Petra with a day trip to an island several hours away, so I helped him arrange logistics for that outing on Sunday. Isaac and I, along with our driver, joined them to make a lively group of six. Traversing the island, relaxing by the seaside, and relishing local cuisine, we shared theological commentary, personal testimonies, and ministry news with each other. I arrived home spiritually refreshed and grateful for God’s blessing on our journey.
