On Friday, our family hosted our third annual party for our co-workers, in a tent set up in front of our home. As usual, I cooked dishes foreign to them — in this case, enchiladas, accompanied by rice and salad, with sweet peanut butter balls for dessert. As normal, they ate all they were served, and brought plastic bags in which to take leftovers home to their families.

The goal of the party corresponds with our primary purpose for living here: to exalt our Lord Jesus Christ and proclaim His salvation. We did this through songs, spoken words, and booklets given as door prizes. We pray that God was glorified and that the friendly chatter among co-workers signifies happy memories linked to the message we seek to convey.

On another note, please pray for my safety and blessed fellowship as I travel to spend Christmas with friends in another province.
