On Saturday, I taught the last lesson in my series of monthly ladies’ meetings regarding “Our Good Works: The Vital Role of Women in the Church”. Beginning in August, we studied good works, the church, and Biblical instruction for and examples of women. Then we passed to practical application: serving our families, our church, and needy individuals. To conclude, we examined this month how we can participate in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), both by sharing the Good News in our city and by praying for those who do so elsewhere. At our final meeting, in May, the ladies will each summarize what they have learned during this study. Meanwhile, I will soon print the booklet I’ve written containing this material. Please pray for the book’s readers and for the women of our congregation to fulfill Matthew 5:16: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
