The New Hope High School Food Pantry
Mark 6 Offering
Every third Sunday of the month, we use our Mark 6 Offering to provide food to stock the pantry at New Hope High School. The new semester has just started for them, and they have a large class, so they’ll need our donations!
New Hope High School
New Hope is unusual in that it has no library, it has no cafeteria. Until EPC donated them to the school, they had no washer or dryer. Many of the students there don’t have access at home to laundry facilities, to refrigerators and cabinets full of food, and some are even homeless.
The number of students New Hope HS serves varies but they typically have around 50-70 students in the building daily, needing lunch and for many, breakfast. Our monthly Mark 6 offerings help keep their pantry and refrigerators supplied with food.
Many of these students have never been exposed to church attenders. We have such a great opportunity to represent God’s love and care for them thru our food donations and the activities we can provide for them. We have done cook outs, cookie decorating, Thanksgiving dinner, and more. Stay tuned for more opportunities!
